Motorcycle Safety Instructor Wanted (FT)

The Evergreen Safety Council has an open full-time position with benefits for a Motorcycle Safety Instructor out of the Council’s training facility in Kirkland, WA. The Evergreen Safety Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates the largest motorcycle safety training program in the State of Washington. We are looking for an energetic motorcycle enthusiast who has a strong commitment to safety and exceptional customer service skills. The instructor is responsible for class and range preparation activities as well as conducting effective training sessions for all participants. The instructor reports directly to the manager of the Motorcycle Safety.

The things you will do regularly include…

  • Prepare course materials, classrooms and ranges for each class.
  • Help students meet course objectives by conducting classroom and range training.
  • Provide and process motorcycle skills tests.
  • Maintain required documentation and help with enrollment and scheduling as needed.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and care of motorcycles is conducted on a scheduled and timely basis.
  • Assistance in establishing and maintaining range layouts.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, stakeholder meetings and on social media channels.
  • Answer phone calls, emails and social media messages regarding the training program.
  • Assist in maintaining class schedules, instructors, and materials.
  • Work with Washington State DOL as needed to comply with state requirements.

Our minimum requirements include…

  • You must be at least 21 years old.
  • You must have ability to operate standard motorcycles, sidecars, & trikes.
  • You must have a current motorcycle endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • Possess the strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to thrive in a changing fast-paced work environment.

Surprise us with any additional skills or qualities…

  • Prior experience teaching or training in a classroom and/or hands-on learning environment.
  • Prior experience as a motorcycle instructor, and or a current qualified MSF Instructor.
  • Experience in a customer service roll.
  • Some experience in automotive/motorcycle maintenance, ability to perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Ability to utilize and communicate through social media.
  • Experience with sales and/or marketing.

The physical demands for this position include…

  • Must have ability to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged period at range locations and in classrooms.

Motorcycle Safety Instructor – Contract Position – Weekends

The Evergreen Safety Council has a part-time position for a Motorcycle Safety Instructor to work weekends at the Council’s Seattle-area ranges (West Seattle, Kirkland, Renton & Kent). The Evergreen Safety Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates the largest motorcycle safety training program in the State of Washington.

We are looking for an energetic motorcycle enthusiast who has a strong commitment to safety and exceptional customer service skills. The instructor is responsible for conducting effective training sessions for all participants.

The things you will do regularly include…

  • Enthusiastically teach students motorcycle fundamentals in the classroom.
  • Effectively demonstrate and guide students in their riding skills on the range.
  • Provide a safe and productive training opportunity for all students.

Our minimum requirements include…

  • You must be at least 21 years old.
  • You must have ability to operate standard motorcycles, sidecars, & trikes.
  • You must have a current motorcycle endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • You must be willing to complete three weekends of training.
  • You must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
